You can set up public holidays in TimeStatement as follows:
1. Go to "Management" > "Presets" > "Public Holidays".
2. Click "Create Public Holiday" to add public holidays manually one by one. Enter the name and the date of the public holiday.
3. Alternatively, you can use "Import iCal" to import public holidays from an iCal file. Some states, cantons and other official bodies provide such files with public holidays for download, which you can then import into TimeStatement. Please note that TimeStatement does not provide ready-made holiday templates, as the system is used worldwide and holiday regulations differ from region to region.
4. The following restrictions and options are available for each public holiday:
- "Valid for": By default, the public holiday applies to all users. However, you can restrict it to specific users and thus store different public holidays for users at different locations.
- "Half day": By default, a public holiday is recorded as a full-day holiday. Enable this option if the public holiday should only apply to half a working day.
- "Special holiday": Enable this option if a different surcharge should be defined for this public holiday.
5. Click "Save" to create the public holiday.
