This article explains how to add an employee to TimeStatement so that they can then access and use the system.
Separate guides explain how to set up the workload and target working hours for an employee, add an employee to a project and how an employee logs in to TimeStatement.
To create a new user in TimeStatement:
1. Click Management → Users → New User.
2. Enter the first and last name, the email address and a temporary password. The employee needs this password to log in for the first time.
3. Optionally, you can add more details such as gender, name on reports, address and phone number.
4. You can define various settings and user rights for the new user:
- "Role": Choose the right role for the employee:
- Standard user: Can only record and see their own entries, such as times and expenses.
- User with extended permissions: Depending on the rights enabled, can for example manage projects, tasks and clients and view reports and invoices. This role has more rights than a standard user, but fewer than an administrator.
- Admin: Has access to all areas and can manage users, settings, clients, projects and invoices, among other things.
- "Can see all absences": Enable this option if the user may see the absences of all employees. Under Timesheets → Planned Absences → Vacation Overview, the employee can then see the absences of all other users in the calendar.
- "Limit viewing absences to": Define which users may see this employee's absences.
- "Supervisors": Select one or more supervisors for the employee. Depending on the settings enabled, they can for example record, manage and approve the employee's absences, work time, project time or expenses.
5. Click "Save" to create the new user.
