TimeStatement already includes several entry types, such as Sick, Vacation and Accident. You can use these entry types or create your own work time and absence entry types for your team, for example for training, parental leave or overtime compensation.
For certain entry types, you can also set an annual limit. This lets you define, for example, how many days per year may be recorded for a specific entry type.
Note: The Work and Vacation entry types can't be deleted.
Viewing and creating entry types
Go to "Management" > "Presets" > "Timesheet Entry Types".
- Check whether the existing entry types cover your needs. If you need another entry type, click "Create Timesheet Entry Type".
- Enter a name for the entry type and specify whether it is an absence, whether the time is paid and whether the entry should be shown in the overview.
- Enable "Allow only 'Half day' and 'All day'" if the entry type shouldn't be recorded by the hour.
- Choose a color for the entry type.
- Click "Save".
Setting an annual limit
After saving, you can define an annual limit for the entry type. To do this, click "+ Create Limit".
Specify which employees the limit applies to and the maximum number of days that may be recorded per year. Then click "Save".
Using entry types
The entry types you create can be selected when recording work time and absences. To do this, go to "Timesheets" → "Worktime" or "Timesheets" → "Planned Absences" and select the entry type you want in the "Type" field when creating an entry.
