With TimeStatement's overtime regulations, you can set the maximum weekly working hours for your employees and automatically distinguish between contractual overtime and statutory overtime.
Contractual overtime is working time beyond the contractually agreed working hours. Statutory overtime, on the other hand, occurs when the legal maximum working hours are exceeded. For example, if the contractual working time is 40 hours and the legal maximum is 45 hours per week, the hours between 40 and 45 count as contractual overtime. Every additional hour beyond 45 hours is shown as statutory overtime.
TimeStatement already offers country-specific overtime regulations for several countries. You can use them directly, adapt them to your company's requirements or add your own regulations.
Creating an overtime regulation
To create a new overtime regulation or edit an existing one, open "Management" > "Presets" > "Overtime". Click an existing regulation to edit it, or select "+ Overtime regulation" to create a new one.
When creating a new overtime regulation, you can either select a country and use its default regulation or create a custom regulation. Then enter a name and specify from when the regulation is valid. You also define which employees the regulation applies to. This way, for example, employees in different countries or regions can be assigned different overtime regulations.
Specify which maximum weekly working hours should apply and enter them in hours.
Use the active/inactive status to specify whether the overtime regulation is currently applied. Then click "Save" to save the regulation.
Viewing contractual and statutory overtime
Employees can see their recorded extra hours, split into contractual overtime and statutory overtime, in the monthly statement. The monthly statement can be downloaded for individual employees as a PDF or Excel file.
Administrators can also view contractual and statutory overtime centrally under "Overview" > "Worktime". The table view shows the values for all employees clearly per month.
