With TimeStatement's surcharge regulations, you can store statutory or company surcharges and have them calculated automatically.
TimeStatement checks the recorded working hours against the active rules and applies the corresponding surcharges automatically. For example, surcharges for night, weekend or holiday work can be calculated without manual entry.
TimeStatement already offers country-specific default regulations for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. You can use them directly, adapt them to your requirements or add your own surcharge regulations.
Creating a surcharge regulation
To create or edit a surcharge regulation, open "Management" > "Presets" > "Surcharges". There you can edit an existing regulation or create a new one with "+ Surcharge model".
For a new surcharge regulation, you can choose between a country-specific default regulation and a custom regulation. With a country-specific default regulation, the default rules of that country are stored automatically. You can then edit these rules or add more rules with "+ Create Rule".
If you want to create your own regulation, select "+ Surcharge model" > "Custom". Then enter a name, specify from when the regulation is valid and define which employees it applies to.
Next, define the individual surcharge rules. You specify on which days and in which time ranges a surcharge applies and how high it is. This way, for example, you can store individual surcharges for night, weekend or holiday work.
Use the active/inactive status to specify whether the surcharge regulation is currently applied. Only active regulations are included in the calculation.
Finally, click "Save" to save the surcharge regulation.
Viewing surcharges
Employees can view their work time including surcharges directly in the work time view under "Timesheets" > "Worktime".
For each day, the work time performed and the target hours are shown, for example 7:30/8:00 (−0:30). If a surcharge applies, the surcharge time is added to the work time and shown accordingly.
Using the question mark icon next to the work time, employees can see how the credited work time is made up. For example, the calculation is shown as follows:
Actual work time + surcharge time = credited work time
Alternatively, surcharge times can be viewed in the Excel monthly statement. The "Surcharge" column lists the exact surcharge time per day.
