TimeStatement offers several features that let you control and review your employees' work time tracking and protect it from later changes. These include setting edit deadlines, creating closings, using approval processes and keeping a clear overview of the work time data.
Setting edit deadlines
You can define individual edit deadlines for both work time tracking and project time tracking.
The deadline is set in days from the end of the day or month and determines how long employees have to record time entries or adjust them later.
Once the defined edit deadline has passed, the time entries are locked automatically for regular users and can no longer be changed by them. If changes are still needed, an administrator has to make them.
To set the edit deadline, go to Management > Settings > Features.
Creating closings
You can create closings at any time, for example regularly after the end of each month.
A closing lets you check your employees' balances and secure closed periods. The closed period is locked for further editing, so the recorded times can no longer be changed afterwards.
For more information, see the article "How do I create a closing for an employee?".
Using the submission and approval process
TimeStatement offers a submission and approval process for work time and project time. It can also be enabled for absences and expenses.
Employees can submit their recorded time for review. The responsible supervisor can then check the entries and either approve them or reject them with a reason.
For more information, see the article "How do I set up the approval process for work time, project time and expenses?".
Table overview and monthly statements
Under Overview > Worktime, you can view your employees' work time balances at any time in a clear monthly table view. Monthly statements are also available there. They let you review the recorded working hours in detail for each individual day.
