TimeStatement lets you record your work time easily and flexibly in several ways. Use the web app in your browser or the mobile app on your smartphone or tablet, so you can record your working hours anytime and anywhere – even on the go.
1. Recording work time manually
You can enter your work time manually and adjust it when needed.
- Open Timesheets > Worktime.
- Drag and drop to select the time period on the day you want. Alternatively, you can click anywhere on that day.
- The "Add entry" window opens.
- Check the date and the start and end time. Select the matching type, in this case "Work".
- Add a note if needed.
- Click "Save".
This method is especially suitable for employees with varying working hours.
2. Recording work time by checking in and out
With the "Check-in / Check-out" feature, you record your work time in just a few clicks.
Here's how it works:
- Open Timesheets > Worktime.
- When you start work, click the green "Check in" button.
- When you finish work, click the orange "Check out" button.
You can enable or disable this feature under Management > Settings > Features.
3. Filling in work time automatically (magic wand)
If a personal weekly work plan has been set up for you, you can enter your working hours automatically with one click. To do this, use the magic wand icon in the timesheet.
The working hours are taken from your weekly work plan. If needed, you can then adjust the entries manually.
- Open Timesheets > Worktime.
- Click the magic wand icon on the day you want.
- The work time is entered automatically based on your weekly work plan.
- Adjust the times if you worked differently than planned.
Note: If the magic wand isn't available, a weekly work plan may not have been set up yet.
The weekly work plan can be set individually for each employee.
- As an administrator: Open Management > Users, select the user and go to Work plan > Weekly Work Plan.
- As an employee: Click your name at the top right and select Profile > Work plan > Weekly Work Plan.
4. Assigning work time to projects
You can assign your work time directly to a project. To do this, record your time under Timesheets > Project time. If the corresponding feature is enabled, the recorded project time is automatically added to your work time as well. You can enable or disable the "Add project time to working time" feature under Management > Settings > Features. This way, you don't have to record the same time twice.
5. Recording work time at the terminal
For stationary time tracking, you can use the TimeStatement Terminal. It runs on a tablet set up at a fixed location with power and Wi-Fi.
Employees can check in and out at the terminal with their personal badge, for example when they start and finish work. Breaks can be recorded quickly and easily this way, too.
To use the terminal, you need a suitable tablet in addition to your TimeStatement licenses. You can order one directly from us.
