A work plan is automatically created for every user, and you can adjust it. In the first entry under "Work plan" > "Target Working Hours Definition", you use the "Start Balance" field to set the work time balance the employee starts with.
This is useful, for example, if an employee already brings overtime or minus hours that should be carried over into TimeStatement.
Tested first, now starting for real
If you tested TimeStatement first and want to start for real from a specific date, for example from 10/01/2026, do the following for each employee:
- Under "Management" > "Users", open the employee and go to "Work plan" > "Target Working Hours Definition".
- Open the first entry and set the date of the real start in the "Start" field, for example 10/01/2026.
- In the "Start Balance" field, enter the balance as of the previous day, for example as of 09/30/2026. Enter minus hours with a minus sign, for example -5:00.
- Click "Save".
Time entries before the start date aren't included in the balance.
