Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your TimeStatement account by requiring both your password and a verification code from your mobile device to log in.
To enable 2FA, follow these steps:
1. Click your name at the top right and select "Profile".
2. In the user area, go to "Settings" and then to "Two-Factor Authentication".
3. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication".
4. Download an authenticator app to your mobile device, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
5. Scan the QR code shown by TimeStatement with your authenticator app.
6. Enter the 6-digit verification code from the authenticator app in TimeStatement and click "Verify" to complete the setup.
7. The next time you log in to TimeStatement, first enter your email address and password as usual. You will then be asked for the two-factor code, which you can find in the authenticator app on your mobile device. The code is only valid for a few seconds and is constantly renewed to ensure maximum security.
8. If you want to disable two-factor authentication again, click "Disable Two-Factor Authentication". If you don't have access to the authenticator app and the 6-digit verification code, the administrator in TimeStatement can reset two-factor authentication for you.
