In TimeStatement, you can optionally upload a scanned or digital receipt for an expense you've recorded. Supported file formats are PDF, PNG and JPG. Receipts can be uploaded in both the web app and the mobile app. Especially handy: you can take a photo of the receipt with your mobile device's camera and upload it directly.
The "Expenses" tab gives you an overview of all recorded receipts. If an expense was recorded with a receipt, this is shown by an attachment icon (paper clip) in the overview.
How do I upload the receipt for an expense?
1. Go to the "Expenses" tab and click the expense, or click "Create Expense" to record a new expense.
2. Click "Add receipt" to select and upload the receipt.
3. Save the expense by clicking "Save".
How are expense receipts shown in reports?
In TimeStatement's report views – for example on the "Overview" tab and then the "Report" sub-tab – you can select the "Expenses" type to see all recorded expenses at a glance. The related expense receipts are automatically bundled in a ZIP file, which you can easily download by clicking "Receipt Export".
How are expense receipts included and shown in invoices?
Recorded expenses are of course included when the invoice is calculated. The related receipts are automatically bundled in a ZIP file and are available for download when generating the invoice. You can download this ZIP file by clicking "Receipts.zip" in the "Attachments" section of the invoice and send it directly together with the invoice.
Currency note: For simplicity, all prices in this article are given in euros (€). However, other currencies such as CHF and USD are also available in TimeStatement.
