Project tasks are predefined activities or services that are performed for and offered to the client.
TimeStatement lets you clearly define tasks for each project. This way, you can assign your activities in project time tracking directly to a project and select them from a predefined task list.
Once you have added your employees to TimeStatement, created clients and projects and assigned employees to a project, you can define project tasks. To do this:
1. Go to the "Projects" tab and select the project.
2. Click "Tasks" and then "Add Task".
3. Enter a name for the task.
4. In the "Billable" field, specify whether this project task should be charged on the next invoice. Non-billable tasks can be set here.
5. If you selected the billing type "Task hourly rate" on the project's "Details" tab, you can set an individual hourly rate for each task here.
6. Click "Save" to add the task to the project.
Once you have defined tasks for a project, you can record your project time.
Tip: With TimeStatement, you can create a sample project with your standard settings – such as project details, employees, tasks, expense categories as well as flat rates and retainers. You can reuse this template for future projects: clone existing projects in just a few clicks and all predefined settings are applied automatically.
Currency note: For simplicity, all prices in this article are given in euros (€). However, other currencies such as CHF and USD are also available in TimeStatement.
